Sounds good to me. Here are the ideas that I had for the rules of the list:

1) no spamming (starting off with the obvious one)

2) posts should have something to do with alumni. Posting chapter events for
the purpose of keeping alumni informed is
    perfectly acceptable in my opinion. All in all, the list exists to provide
a communication medium Beteen alumni, as well as
    between alumni and actives.

3) Topics that are extremely personal should be saved for private email (i.e.
no inside jokes really, and no ex's giving detailed
    personal information about subscribers).

Other than this, general Netiquette should apply.
