I'd suggest you discuss this situation with the legal department at your
University if possible. I don't know anything about the particular company,
but it's often amazing how fast these problems can be resolved if the
company feels that they are dealing with 'adults' rather than 'kids'.
Yes I know it's insulting, but there are unfortunately businesses out there
who view college students as kids with no clout just waiting to be taken
advantage of -- a good university will look into the situation and back the
students if they are in the right.
