Brothers, pledges, and APhiO-friendly people:
Let me first introduce myself. I'm Jeffe Boats, a brother who's been lurking here for a month or two. I first began doing service as an undergrad with Alpha Beta Beta at St. Bonaventure, and later initiated at Kappa (Carnegie Mellon). I'm currently a lecturer in the department of Mathematical Sciences at UTEP (University of Texas at EL Paso), and more relevantly, I'm the CAC of the soon-to-be-petitioning group Upsilon Eta chapter. As the only one of us currently subscribed to APO-L, it is my pleasure to extend our invitation to all APhiO chapters near and far.
We are organizing an inter-chapter fellowship event, and would be delighted if some of you could come out for it. The premise is simple -- on April 12th, APhiO takes over a minor league baseball park.
Alright, "takes over" might be a bit strong. What we have arranged is a party in the baseball stadium a few hours prior to game time, where we get free ballpark food and (non-alcoholic) beverages. Afterward, we get to stay for the game and root on the home team, the EL Paso Diablos. All this for just $13 per person.
But wait ... there's more. :)
Since your all our guests, we're going to try to spring for half the price of a ticket for any brother who attends. We're pretty sure we can swing this unless tons of brothers decide to come -- it's not definite but pretty likely. So all this entertainment, a chance to see EL Paso, the oppurtunity to meet great gobs of gregarious brothers, and I think APhiO gets announced over the PA or something like that. Should be pretty cool.
You'll also be helping us out tremendously in our petitioning effort, as we have a lot of difficulty travelling ourselves, for many reasons. And we'd really love to meet you, especially some of the closer chapters.
Feel free to contact me for further information. An easy way to do that is through the mailer on my web page:

Upsilon Eta does not have a web page just yet, but we're working on it.
In LFS,
Jeffe
