Hello everyone!
Our chapter, Alpha Gamma Iota at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and
Science, is currently reevaluating our bylaws. We started having problems
this year with active brothers not fulfilling the responsibilities we have
outlined for them in our bylaws. The two points that we are having problems
with are the service hour requirement of 40 hours per year and the
attendance at all general meetings. We currently have it written in that if
the service requirements are not met the brother is requested to become an
associate brother. We were thinking about making this statement stronger by
saying that they will become an associate brother. We also wanted to put
some consequence to not attending meetings, but we are not sure how to word
it and how strict of a statement to use.
What do other chapters have in their bylaws for this type of situation, or
what recommendations do you have for our chapter? We are open for any
suggestions!
Thanks a bunch!
