This best way to inquire how you can assist the American Red Cross with
any disaster operation is to call your local Red Cross Chapter. If you
want
to make a donation, call 1-800-HELP-NOW. If you want to volunteer time
and efforts, call your local chapter.
Please note that the Red Cross *DOES NOT ACCEPT* donations of food,
clothing,
or other materials due to logistical reasons. It has, however, set up
yet
another hotline to refer your material donations to other agencies who
DO
handle those items. Call 1-800-7-IN-KIND.
