An important anniversary slipped quitely by this past Friday without fanfare.
April 25th 1997 marked the 5-year anniversary of the re-activation of Delta
Zeta Chapter located at the University of Pennsylvania. Brother "Riz" Shavelle
transferred to UPenn and began the process of bringing back the chapter in late
1990. Very little is known about the chapter before it went inactive in 1972.
Being on the Section 92 staff at the time, I volunteered to help Riz with the
rechartering effort. I am certain Riz and all the other dedicated 're-founders'
would agree the task was challenging, but the results have been well worth it.
Congratulations to the Brothers of Delta Zeta Chapter!
