I just wanted to get an idea on the feelings of small chapter woes.
Particularly, the support of or lack of support for small chapters that are
struggling to get membership up. I feel that there is a strong tendency to
ignore small chapters that are having problems in favor of supporting
Petitioning Groups/New Groups. I can speak from personal experience on this at
a chapter that I was at previously, and want to learn about how to correct this
now that I am a section chair. In my view, just as much effort should be given
to help these struggling chapters as new groups, and that within a section all
chapters should be concerned about the welfare of fellow chapters there. After
all, we are only as strong as our weakest link.
I'm interested to hear what other experiences are out there. (Please forgive me
if this subject has come up before, I've haven't been back on the list in over
two years)
