DC 2000 Bid Meeting

For those who are interested in attending the DC 2000 Bid Meeting to be
held this Saturday, here is the info:

Date:  Saturday, May 31
Time:  6:00pm
Place: Anderson Hall Formal Lounge
       American University
       Washington, DC

Please bring plenty of fresh ideas and money for pizza and soda during the
meeting and a possible fellowship event afterwards.

We will also be meeting with two hotels that day at 10:00am and 2:00pm, if
you are interested in coming to these meetings, please contact me

Directions from VA:

Cross the Key Bridge from Rosalyn into DC.  At the end of the Bridge,
make a left turn onto Canal Road.  Follow Canal Road around a curve, and
Canal becomes Foxhall Road.  Follow Foxhall road about 3-4 miles until it
ends.  Make a right turn onto Nebraska Avenue.  Between the first and
second stoplights, you will see a parking lot on your left with Parking
meters.

Park by a meter if there are spots available.  If not, continue East on
Nebraska Ave., and make a right turn on Massachusetts Avenue.  Park along
the street on Mass. Ave, and go to the aforementioned parking lot.

Campus Directions:

From the entrance to the parking lot, head into campus (directly away
from Nebraska Ave.).  Approximately three buildings ahead of you on the
left, you will see a quad of dorms, and Anderson is one of them.  Turn
left in the middle of the quad, and Anderson Hall is on the right.  The
front desk will direct you to the Formal Lounge.

Directions from the North:

Take the beltway toward Virginia (the west side of the beltway).  Exit
onto River Road, and follow River Road until it ends (several miles).  At
the end of River Rd., make a right turn on Wisconsin Avenue.  About one
or two blocks ahead, you will hit Tenley Circle, and Nebraska Avenue.
Make a right turn on Nebraska Ave.  Follow Nebraska Avenue past Ward
Circle (Massachusetts Ave.) and you will see a parking lot on your left
with Parking meters.

Park by a meter if there are spots available.  If not, go back East on
Nebraska Ave., and make a right turn on Massachusetts Avenue.  Park along
the street on Mass. Ave, and go to the aforementioned parking lot.
