You could always just install the radar detector under your dashboard and
put a switch in a different location to turn it off. If you get stopped,
they cannot see it, and it will no longer work once turned
off...therefore no probable cause to do anything about it. This also
helps you out in most other states: If you get pulled over with a radar
detector, most cops will give you the ticket. If they see that you
weren't "trying to speed" they might cut you a break.
