This is NOT a spam. It is a personal message from an APO volunteer.
Many times during my days as an elected officer of APO, the actives
referred to themselves as "Jerry's kids." Maybe you were one of those
actives. I always appreciated the reference because I understood the
plight of the real Jerry's Kids and I appreciated the dedication of Jerry
Lewis in trying to help them.
To all of you who considered yourselves one of APO's Jerry's kids, I ask
that on this Labor Day you watch just one hour of the Muscular Distrophy
Telethon and then ask yourself whether you can afford not to pledge, even
if it's only $5. I won't tell you why this is important to me, or why
MDA has been my favorits charity for many years -- and, no, none of my
three children has one of the 40 neuromuscular diseases, but it is very
important to me.
So I ask that each of you consider a donation during this holiday to this
great cause. Do it simply because there are children out there who need
your help. Thank you.
