Unfortunately, when the DCAAO was active, there wasn't enough money to
handle mailings and long distance phone calls. Unless you know of a
better way, that form of communication was impossible.

The DCAAO's venue was APO84-L, SEC83-L, and a complete listing of
interested people's e-mail addresses, known as the e-news list. If you
were not on those lists, than you didn't hear about it. Also, regular
postings had been sent to APO-L and APOSOC-L.

Now, you're right, if you weren't on those electronic lists, you
wouldn't have heard about it. That's why we used work-of-mouth to
advertise to area chapters and let those chapters help disseminate the
info to their own actives and alumni. Again, the organization simply
could not afford any other form of communication, other than electronic
and via word-of-mouth. Yeah, it sucks, but that's reality.

Good day.
