There is nothing in the National by-laws or Standard Chapter Articles of
Association that prohibits it. However, the main reason that chapters
avoid having those two offices combined is that they are the ones that
have signature control to write checks. If your chapter requires someone
other than these two officers to sign checks then you may be OK, but for
the purposes of keeping better watch on money, I'd advaise against it.
