I don't know if there's anything that prohibits you from doing this, but it
certainly NOT in your chapter's best interests. The reason is that usually
the Treasurer and President are the two people with access to the chapter's
finances, and you never want one single person to have that control.
Certainly you don't want to do this unless you're absolutely forced to do
so, and even then you should take at least one extra step: make your
accounts dual-signature, so that any checks/withdrawals must be signed by
two people. An advisor, providing your chapter has a good relationship with
one, would be a good person to fill this role.
