Brothers,
This summer I was appointed to the position of Sergeant-at-Arms (SAA)
for my chapter (Gamma Alpha, U Washington, Section 8). My chapter
president and I are now trying to figure out what I should do,
considering I'm the first SAA in my chapter at least since our recharter
some years back.
So my questions are:
1) How common are SAA's?
2) What duties does the SAA perform?
3) Is the SAA mentioned in chapter bylaws?
4) Any useful advice?
5) To whom does the SAA report?
6) Who, if anyone, does the SAA oversee?
7) How is the SAA considered as an officer? (exec board or not, etc.)
8) Is your SAA appointed or elected?
That's all I can think of for now. I look forward to reading the list's
responses.
YiLFS,
Jason T. Selkowitz
