The Wildest Service Project...

Greetings!
This is Janson S. Jones from the Delta Beta chapter at the University
of Oklahoma! Just wanted to share some thoughts on a big project Delta Beta
was involved with yesterday...
Delta Beta helps the home games at the stadium by working a shift of the
"stretcher team" for the Gomer Jones medical center... Our responsibility is
to, when we get "the call", find and transport an ill person from the stadium
stands to the medical center. It's usually a fun project, and we usually
only get calls when OU scores, or even possibly wins (heart attacks, get it?)
Anyway, yesterday, Delta Beta worked three different team units (seven
or eight people) at the stadium. Only this wasn't for a game. It was for
the Rolling Stones, Sheryl Crow concert! Obviously, many people volunteered
for the service project! So, for eight hours, we were stationed in the
stadium... As for my group, the concert began... Sheryl Crow rocked, as
always... And the Stones? Well, they have still got it where it counts...
Absolutely amazing! We only got one call, for a woman who passed out in the
bathroom after drinking just a WEE BIT too much of the ole' alchohol... And
that was after the concert! So, basically, we got to watch the concert for
free! One of our pledges, on the roaming crew, got to sit five seats away
from Crow during the Stones act... I believe he was a bit happy!
Anyhow, just thought I'd share it with you... It really was a wild
project! (A bit more exciting than the homegames, I'm afraid....) Have a
