I was wondering why the Regions that have conferences over most schools
christmas breaks do so.
Any ideas? Personal I would find it a little annoying to have to come back
to region VI in the middle of winter break, (not to say that I probably
would not do so). Also the number of confenerces held during christmas
break are in a minority, with four being held over the last two weekends
(regions VI and VII over Oct. 17-19 and regions III and Vover Oct. 24-26)
and one this weekend (region IX). The reason that I think conferences
that are held during the school, are held then is to allow the chapters
present within the region to send more of its members, because more will be
in the region at the time. However conferences during the breaks may allow
people from different regions to attend. Just some thoughts.
I would also appericaite thoughts on this since my chapter is planning on
put in a bid for the region VI conference in '99.
