Hi there!
Ok... Alpha Phi Omega has one policy on alcohol. Basically there
will be no alcohol with petitioning groups and no alcohol with any pledge
or membership education programs. That's it.
HOWEVER... you also have to tie into the NAtional Risk management
policy where you must abide by all local,state, and federal laws. In
addition, all campus policies overide APO policies concerning alcohol.
Please reference the Risk management policy. The alcohol
policy
can be found on page 43 of the pledge manual (section III, subsection I of
the national membership policies).
Oh... in some states, declaring an event unofficial in no way
absolves the chapter/fraternity from legal liability. (in NY they
basically follow the 25% rule).
