Hello all,

Just a brief note to introduce myself, I'm a Rover (in fact currently
Crew Leader) from the Harcourt Hill Rover Crew which is affiliated
with the Australian National University in Canberra, the capital of
Australia. This is about as close as we get to an equivalent to APO in
Australia and I guess we're a sort of cross between APO and an older
version of the BSA's Explorers. As far as we know, we're the only
university Scout group in Australia although there are quite a few
around the world (see the list at
http://student.anu.edu.au/Clubs/rovers).

Aside from rovering, I study Maths and Law at the ANU and am involved
in Debating at and for the uni and a bit of student politics on the
side.

Anyway, I look forward to hearing on APO-L how you guys organise
university Scouting and, once I get the hang of it, maybe offering a
bit of an alternative perspective from the land of Oz.

Yours in Scouting

David

It will be a great day when our schools and universities have all
the money they need and the air force has to hold a cake stall to
buy a new bomber.
