A few months ago I posted asking for suggestions on how I could get
the T&T to my grandfather without paying the $80 for Life Membership. He
was made an Honorary Member two years ago and very much enjoys getting
mail. He was especially interested about hearing about his new fraternity.
I really appreciated all the kind response I got. I have since
made it a point to deliver him personally a copy.
Unfortunately, my Grandmother and his wife of 57 years passed away
two weeks ago Tuesday. You can imagine this is very tough on him.
I have since made it my pledge to see to it that he gets as much
mail as possible. Reading and sorting his mail is really theropeuic for
him.
I am here by asking his fellow brothers to write him a short
letter. Just telling him a little about yourself and maybe your chapter.
It will really mean a lot to him and only cost you $0.32 and a little time.
His address is 50 N. Main St., Homer, NY 13077 and name is Rev.
Rodger C. Marmon.
Short bio: He graduated from St. Lawrence University in NY and has
held more jobs than I can count. He has hoboed to Tennessee and hitched
hiked from Watertown, NY to Chicago for a world fair. His main occupations
have been being a minister to many many churches and running the largest
mail order film busines in New York outside of New York City. He has been
heavily involved in the Salvation Army (served as head of the New York
organization), ran an effort to get young kids out of the cities and into
the country, and held various leadership positions in the Boy Scouts.
These are just a few of the things that he has done in his life.
