Well I have heard of chapters wearing various garb durring ceremonies.
this does not violate the ritual book guidlines, but it does give a
different appearence to the rituals. Also performing ritual at the beach,
lake side, or even in a forest gives a different appearence, as well as
performing the rituals at varying times of the day or night.

Well many fraternities use an abreviation of their fraternity name. The
commom form for Alpha Phi Omega is APO or APhiO, well black fraternities
also use the letter Q to represent the greek letter Omega, so this is
the source of the Q. To find more information on the Q representation,
you should investigate the history of the fraternity Omega Psi Phi.
