Well, since the people involved in developing our rituals were scouts and my
understanding is that when there was a major rewrite of the OA ceremonies
(early 60s?) it was done by a group of APO brothers(some of them from my
home chapter) it's not too surprising that there are strong similarities.

The policy on APO-L is "don't discuss details of rituals" since list
subscription is open and there are non-members and pledges here and the
rituals are considered private.
