forgive the fact that the excerpt is hard to read but it is there.

NOTE: these words are coming from an easterner who has no western chapter ties.

I would like to think that we would change the region structure in the west
as i have looked at that maps and they are humungus geographic areas.
especially those to the north where they now enclude canada(granted
temporaraly for canada) But they are large non the less. I would think that
it would be better to have smaller geographic areas so that more attention
could be given to schools in those regions. I know that as a regional
director I wouldn't want to have to travel a day to get somewhere and then
a day back. It would seem to me that it would be ideal to split up the
regions.

Although there is a flip side of that maybee all those regional directors
should pass more responsibility to there staff or the section chairman than
the eastern ones may. It would be nice if the regional director could come
to several of your events but it is not neccisary especially if you have
good regional and sectional staff working for your chapters.
