What is defied as public? Brothers or non-brothers?
Even there the logs really should not be made public,
because there are legit reasons why some people do not have time
to do as much on the book service as others. I think
the biggest reason for me missing certain service
projects was various night classes. In fact, I remember
missing brotherhood meetings because of a Mon. night class.
I think it sends a wrong message to say "Service is only
important if you can make it the one and only time during
the month we have one, never mind your mid-term, student-teaching,
night-class, hospital surgery, etc." That is not the case
in Rev's chapter. They have a lot of service projects,
and Chi Pi probably could have used more in '91 during pledging.
Each case needs to be considered individually. Some projects
are not within the talent range of everyone. Not all
projects are handicapped-accessible. Some singing projects
are out for me. -Joy
