The time has come to start reserving your spots for some up and
coming events sponsored by Philly alumni or soon to be alumni. First come
first serve. Brothers, family, and friends are welcome.
June 6th (Saturday): Whitewater rafting in the Lehigh Valley
(Eastcentral PA). I can not remember the cost off the top of my head, but
I know that it is quite resonable. If you are interested, please get back
to me with the number interested. By responding you are in no way
committed to going. Payment is the only way to commit and that must be
done before or on May 16th. But PLEASE let us know in advance. I will get
back to you with the price. {even if you have responded with interest
before, please do so again}
June 10th (Wednesday): Phillies vs. Orioles at the Vet in
Philadelphia. Great tickets in the 200 level. Come watch Cal and rookie
of the year Scotty Rolen. Hay the Phillies can not get much worse. The
cost is no more than $17. It might be reduced depending on the response.
Once again the tickets are first come first serve and are for anyone one
interested.
Summer service oppurtunities. The Drexel chapter and alumni are
setting up several serve oppurtunities for June through August. If you
might be interested, please let me know and I will see to it that you get
the info. One of the projects at least will be children friendly (meaning
that you can bring your children with you).
Travel plans to Nationals. We are working on getting a charter
plane to Minniapolis-St. Paul for Nationals this December leaving in the
greater Philly area. If you are interested, please let me know ASAP.
50th B-Day party at Drexel (Philly). That is right, Zeta Theta is
50! The undergrads would like to celebrate with there fellow brothers.
Unfortunately the banquet is going to cost a little more than the average
undergrad can afford. Because of that they will be host a low cost
(possibly free) party the Friday before (May 15th) somewhere on campus. So
put it on your calander NOW! You will not regret it. It will be a great
time for all. We have 50 years worth of partying to fit into one night. I
am sure the undergrads will be getting more info soon.
50th banquet. Those that will be attending the Zeta Theta banquet
on May 16th, please get your reservations in ASAP. The chapter would like
to recover the money it had to put out on the sercurity deposit, and it
would help pump up the undergrads to get moving on some of the planning
knowing that so many of us will be attending. If you have not gotten
material on the anniversary weekend, and would like more info please get
back to me ASAP and I will see the right people are notified and you get
your info.
