Howdy Folks
This is something that popped up during discussions at the Section 49
conference. I'd like to hear what y'all think.
Many of you have experienced Roll Call at Nationals. Even with a 30
second time limit per chapter, the whole thing takes forever (or about 3
hours, APO time). It is enough to tire even the most die-hard APOers,
such that the poor chapters at the end of the roll call perform to an
empty room.
The idea came up that perhaps it would be better to do roll call by
sections rather than chapters. This would have the benefit of promoting
section unity and allow perhaps two minutes or so per skit, much
improving the quality of performance.
In the preliminary discussions, it appeared that the pros outweighed the
cons, thus warranting further inquiry and consideration. So I ask again,
what do you think about the idea? What are the costs and benefits that
perhaps we haven't considered?
Thanks, and YiLFS,
