I would like to add a suggestion to a recent emailing on this
subject. I like the idea of having sepperate roll calls for each Region,
but I suggest that it be done at different times so that if one wants, they
can still watch all of the calls. I also think it might be a nice idea to
have a sepperate time set aside for group roll calls. Different groups
could join together to form as a group, but would participate sepperately
from the Regions.
Then as the previous writer suggests there could be a run off
between the winners of the 10 Regions at a central time and location (if
the banquet fits then so be it) and allow the winner of the mixed group
participate in exhibition, but not in competition.
My only concern would be that this would lead to Regional
rivallary. After all the Regions are just geographical conviences and
sepperate enities to compete against. But I do not think that this will
come about within APO.

Oscar
Region II alumn and proud of it (just kidding)

P.S. Who decides the format for the roll call?

P.P.S. I would also like to see the elimation of the creativity
requirement. My chapter is held by tradition to perform the same roll call
at each function. I am very proud of our roll call and our traditions and
I think that we preform it with distinction on occasion and I feel that
there should be some way of recognizing this. It can be very fustrating to
get a group together and sing a very heart warming version of our roll call
and have the crowd heavily applaud, just to lose because 1/3 of the points
came from originality and the entire judging staff has heard it so many
times they were singing along.
