I think you do this fraternity a great diservice by denying our Scouting
heritage. Regarding youe comments about not needing a Scouting advisor...
the Scouting advisor is the one person who you know will be a recepticle of
Scouting knowledge and as such is a valuble part of preserving the original
intents of the fraternity, including its cardinal principles which are based
upon the Scout Oath and Law.
I am not against the rewording of the bylaws as long as the histroical ties
to the BSA are maintained. However it pains me to see a rift arising
between two organizations which could be much closer.
