It seems to me there is something wrong with that logic. Your
problem stemmed from the fact that something that DIDN'T belong on
the list was put there. So you answered this with a similar post.
You responded to a post that didn't belong on the list with a post
that didn't belong on the list? Huh?

I wrote back to Brother Layne yesterday saying how when he posted
that, I was annoyed because it was a flame. I was told that since it
didn't apply to me, I could deal. (This is not a direct quote, but a
paraphrase.) I thought we all agreed that flames belong on personal
email. Am I mistaken? Am I the only person who does not like to see
big ol' capital letters screaming at me when I log in to read my
mail, or am I different?

I do not dispute Brother Layne's right to protest the "Turtle
Thing" over APO-L. In that way, he's right. It really doesn't belong
there. But I will protest the way in which he responded. Just as he
doesn't feel like reading the superfluous stuff, neither do I like
reading his temper tantrum. I use that terminology because that is
what it appeared to be to me, even if the cause was justified.

I'll get down off of my soapbox now. Lesson for the day: If you
feel you *must* explode, do it over private email. Flames do NOT
belong on this list.
