While I may agree with your premise for saying that you felt no sympathy=20
from the dorm people when frat rush was being changed, frat rush still at=20
least exists. While it may be at a different time of the year, and it may=20
have stemmed from a legal settlement with which I still disagree, freshmen=
=20
do have the opportunity to come to campus, see the frats and ILG's and then=
=20
decide with whom they would like to live. Dorm rush now consists of a CDROM=
=20
and an inconsequential re-done lottery after the first few days of=20
orientation. How the hell can a prospective student really get an idea that=
=20
places like east campus and simmons each have their own character from=20
simply watching videos on a cdrom? I don't like the fact that frat rush was=
=20
changed and I think that freshmen should be able to live in frats, but at=20
least frats still have rush.
