We are delighted to announce that Nobel Laureates Phillip A. Sharp
(1993 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine) and Jerome I.
Friedman (1990 Nobel Laureate in Physics) will speak on "Defining the
Boundaries: Homeland Security and Its Impact on Scientific Research"
on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at 4pm in Kresge Auditorium.
President Charles M. Vest will serve as moderator for this event and
a reception will immediately follow the lecture.
This lecture is part of the Ford/MIT Nobel Laureate Lecture Series
and is open to all members of the MIT community. Additional
information about the event as well as selected readings on the topic
