That's not the problem.. the problem is compulsory meal plans, phone
line buy ins, inflated text book prices due to selective dispersal of
lists, techcash fees, expensive campus dining, etc for which the $43k
fails to be a good estimate. I was actually denied a full sum of my loan
application because MIT said I don't need the money, and I do, because
food on campus is so damn expensive etc.
I don't have $120 in my bank account to spare. Maybe that's why I think
this is a bad idea. Either way, $43k is already past my limit, so
throwing my hands up in the air and going into debt further for services
I don't need is against my intuition.
