Hi,
I was trying to install kerberos version 5 at work station. I wanted it as
a part of a project i was doing . I copied the files from the correct place
and was even successfull inj doing the build etc. When i ran kdb5_create
it asked me for the password etc. which i entered and it created certain files principal.* in the root directory . But when i run kdb5_edit to enter users
in the database it gives the following erros>
kdb5_edit
kdb5_edit: Cannot find/read stored master key while reading master key
kdb5_edit: Warning: proceeding without master key
kdb5_edit: ank nitin
ank: Master key not entered!
My question was where is the master key stored ?
I thought , since kdb5_create did not give me any error message, the
master key would have been stored in the correct place, where it could
have been accessed by kdb5_edit.
It would really help me very much if you could reply ASAP as my project
deadline is approaching and I really needed to get this thing working . :-(
Thanks a lot in anticipation.`
Nitin
