Wasn't scrypt mostly intended to not work on anything but a CPU? It works
on GPUs now but with the advent of Turning Complete GPU kernels and
gigabytes of GPU RAM that's really hard to avoid.

I just think being secure was also important, but not by far as important
as consistent speed. I don't actually know the algorithm though. So I can't
comment on the cryptanalysis side of things.

However, paranoia can be fun, so go nuts:

There's definitely something going on there 0_0.... How hard is it to input
certain rules (let's limit the possible rules) and have the machines find
the best path?
