The British royals have been embarassed by this, of course. Didn't
the "squidgy" nickname for Camilla Parker-Bowles come out because
Prince Charles was silly enough to use a cellphone?
On the more serious side, it is very likely that there have been
numerous instances of industrial espionage conducted this way. Its far
too tempting a tool not to use. My own experiences with security lead
me to believe that victims generally cover up abuse in the rare event
that they discover it.
