For anyone really following this explanation closely, my 26x26 array of pins
needs to have the outside letter label a row and the inside letter label a
column, if a row is to be tested. This is because only those outside
letters that show up in the plaintext or ciphertext for the menu will have
significant voltage. All other outside letters will be fed only by the
diagonal board and could have non-voltage (uncertainty because the letter
wasn't in the crib). It was only a row that was involved in the crib that
would be tested for a drop.
