I just finished reading a similar version at
http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_254000/254236.stm
and I had one thought:
Maybe somebody well-known in the community should "reach out" to Miss
Flannery and try to show her that the best thing she could do for her
algorithm is to publish it. It sounds like she is headed in that
direction but a little coaching wouldn't hurt.
