What do you want to know. I ran an UMOC in 1988 for Alpha Phi which did great.
In our case, we solicited the participation of the frat houses, encouraging
them to produce a photo of the ugliest member of their house. The photographs
(polaroids taken by a brother) were displayed in the student union for 3 days
with students voting for their favorite ugly man.

Pennies, nickles, dimes, and quarters counted as positive votes. Any bill
counted as negative votes. The results were incredible. supporters of each
frat would get change in pennies for their bills and dump them in the jar.
Then they would stuff the jars of the competition with tens and twenties. As
the contest came to an end, there was a frenzy with each house trying to boost
their candidate while sabotaging the others.

I had a lot of fun with this contest. We collected over $500 for our charity
($50 in pennies alone) in what was a good natured fundraising event. If you
feel your school has the environment in which this type of fun would be
appreciated, I wish you luck with your own UMOC.
