Please remember that different chapters have very different pledge education
programs, and that what one chapter considers required knowledge might not be
taught at another chapter. In fact, programs often vary widely within a single
chapter over a period of time with different pledge trainers.

I think the vast majority of individuals who claim to be A Phi O usually are. I
would just ask about chapter service programs/projects and fairly standard
boilerplate info out of the pledge manual if I REALLY felt I had to verify an
individual's claim to brotherhood. I had a very "relaxed" education as a pledge
(to this day, I have not learned the greek alphabet). I have worked hard to
learn as a staff member what I never learned as a pledge, but there are times I
find myself unable to answer a question without a discreet peek at my ritual
book or an updated pledge manual, and I am very much a duly-initiated brother.
