Similarly, at Old Dominion University (on the other side of Norfolk), the
student handbook requires all students to have at least a 2.0
GPA to remain active in any student organization, and particularly to
hold office (same min GPA).  However, due to the large volume of students
(ODU has a student population of over 17,000), the student activities
office only enforces this 2.0 minimum GPA on the officers of student
organizations, and students are sent notification that they must resign
from office if their cumulative or most recent semester GPA is below a 2.0.
