23rd. Please send in your registration form (with your payment of $45

8 p.m. Session 1 -- Why develop a sectional staff and how to cultivate /

9 a.m. Reintroductions and renewal of fraternity oath
9:10 a.m. Session 2 -- Ethics in Leadership. Ernie Stufflebeam, student life
coordinator, UMKC.
10 a.m. Session 3 -- Working with advisors-- how they view the sectional
staff
and chairs.
11 a.m. -- Session 4 -- Legal issues/awareness -- Richard Schmidt, national
legal counsel.
12 noon -- Lunch / free time / volleyball on Missouri Beach.
2 p.m. -- Session 5 -- Round one of small group discussions.
Basic training for new chairs and staffers -- Lisa Covi and Ed Richter.
Diversity awareness -- Karen Wong and Kim Harris.
How to develop / give a workshop -- Tanya Refshauge and Susan Itterly.
Extension 101 -- an overview of the process. John Anderson and Judy Mitchell.

Extension 102 -- Managing a group from prospect identification through

An open session on a topic of interest to the participants.
5 p.m. Session 8 -- The Internet as a resource -- Lisa Covi and Dave O'Leary.
6 p.m. Dinner/free time/more volleyball on Missouri Beach.
7:30 p.m. National Fraternity Issues/roundtable with National Vice President
Jack McKenzie. Participants will submit written questions during the weekend
for Jack to address during this session. There will also be an opportunity to
ask other questions which were not asked before.
9 p.m. Session 10 --National convention update from the Region X reps.
9:30 p.m. R&R -- hosted by Section 35 Chair Susan Itterly, the official
social director for the 1996 SRW.
Sunday, August 11, 1996
8 a.m. Breakfast/an opportunity to attend church/check out of Camp Mokan.
9 a.m. Session 11 -- tour of the National Office and how Pat Burke / Judy
Mitchell and the top-notch staff at the office can assist you in becoming a
more effective chair or staffer.
11 a.m. Wrap-up/evaluations/closing.
12:30 p.m. Meet somewhere in Independence for lunch.
