Many of you may remember me posting about the AIDS Quilt display in DC a
few weeks ago. I went and was greatly moved (see
http://www.aidsquilt.org/dc/ for a report). I was able to visit Brother
Earle M. Herbert's quilt panel and photograph it as best I could. I
thought some of you may be interested in ordering a high-quality print
of the section that Earle's panel is in (or anyone else that you are
aware of that has a panel).

From the Quilt program:
"The NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt Archive is offering high-quality
prints of any Quilt section as a commemorative item of the October 1996
display in Washington, D.C.

For a limited time, Quilt prints are available in a special matte. The
14"x17" matte, made from white, acid-free conservation board, is
embossed in gold commemorating the October 1996 display in Washington,
D.C. The cost of each matted print is $50.00

Prints are also available unmatted. The cost of each unmatted print is $35.00.

You can place a phone order at (800)-USA-NAME. Please have the Quilt
number ready [ee below]. If you're unsure of the number, please call the
NAMES Project Foundation directly at (415)-882-5500 and the receptionist
will be happy to furnish it to you.

Note: The purchase of these prints is NOT tax-deductible.

(Shipping and Handling is $7.00)"

Earle's quilt section is #3489.

If you or someone in your area is having a display of quilt panels, you
can request that they send a particular panel (needs to be done well in
advance). You can use the number above to request Earle's panel.
