I really don't think that the Norfolk area could host a convention of
2700, but then again, I could be wrong.

Charlotte would be a good option because it is a hub for USAir (but then
again so are Philly and Pittsburgh--not Region 3 cities).

DC can definitely host a convention of about 2700. The DC '84 convention
still holds the record for number of people in attendance. I know that
was only 16 years ago, but that proves it can be done. Plus, we could
possibly visit Brother Clinton. I know he made a brief appearance at the
Awards Banquet in Phoenix, but wouldn't it be nice to have him there in
person?

I'm not really sure which effort I should support--Charlotte, DC, Philly,
Pittsburgh or a Region 1 bid. I am graduating in May '98 (fingers
crossed) and then I plan to move North. Don't know where yet, it depends
on what kind of situation I'm in at the time (as in where I can get a
job, among other things). All I know is that I'd like to get involved in
a bid committee somewhere.

I am going to make every effort to attend Minneapolis, but since I will
have been on the job for less than a year at that point, I can't make
any promises.

Well, that's it for now. My semester starts in 2 hours. Doesn't that
suck? Oh well, I only have 2 semesters after this one. YEAH! Then I
will forever be an alumni!

In LFS,
Laura
