I've never seen a suggestion as high as 18. MOst of the changes I've seen
proposed this time around were taking the 4 Regions west(mostly) of the
MIssissippi and turning them into 5. The last time around ('88) there
were 4 proposals that went out to the chapters. These had 10
(rearranged),11,12, and 15 respectively. I don't remember all that much
about the proposals except that the 15 Region proposal had one region as
WA,OR,AK,ID (not sure about WY or MT) that at the time had ONE chapter (U
of ID) that wasn't talking to Nationals much.

I'd like to find out how the Regions were balanced in terms of chapters
when the Regions were first split in 1967. They may have been more
balanced, the number of charters certainly seems to be (Region V although
it has 45 chapters, has less than a dozen imactive chapters)

If the chapter at Rust college (northern MS) keeps up the contacts it has
made in Section 70 then you might see a move that would take it from
Region VII to Region IV (Reversing part of the move that was made in '86)

SOunds like a proposal.
Also has anyone checked the National Office computer setup to see if it
will work in 2000?
